About Taryn
Taryn Long, ACMHC, is passionate about helping individuals build healthier, more fulfilling lives through compassionate, individualized care. She earned her master’s degree from Northwestern University and has a lot of experience helping individuals who struggle with substance use and addiction. She works with clients of all ages and strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where each person feels heard, understood, and respected.
Her approach to counseling centers on meeting clients where they are in their journey and working collaboratively to identify their unique needs, strengths, and goals. She believes in equipping clients with practical tools and techniques to improve mental health, navigate life’s challenges, and develop lasting, positive changes.
As a Utah native, Taryn loves the outdoors of all seasons — whether that means surfing in the summer, hiking in the fall, or skiing in the winter. She has also recently started getting into baking, and you can often find her making a mess in the kitchen with her two young kids trying out something she probably saw on The Great British Baking Show.
